Information on our new vessel that was constructed this winter and spring. This boat will make direct runs out to Flowerpot Island, visit the shipwrecks and transfer passengers from the larger vessels (Blue Heron V and Great Blue Heron) into Beachy Cove on Flowerpot Island. The new vessel will be 15.1 meters long, 5 meters beam and will carry 84 passengers. Power will be three Caterpillar 'D' rated engines at 570 bhp each, attached directly to three Hamilton HJ 322 waterjets. The collar around the vessel will be foam filled and not inflatable, construction is welded aluminum. Cruising speed will be 25 knots. The vessel was built by Hike Metal products, Wheatley, Ontario. It is now in full operation.
This vessel will work with our other two Jet Boats, the 26 passenger 'Zodiac 1' and the 46 passenger 'Zephyr'.
