Parks Canada is currently building a new multi-million dollar Visitor Center to be located within walking distance of the town of Tobermory.  At first this was welcome news, giving tourists another attraction to go to while on their visit to the area.  However later it was learned that Parks Canada is also planning some of their own retail space in the Visitor Center.

The Blue Heron Company and many other local businesses are opposed to Parks Canada getting into the retail sector.  This page is to keep you informed of our position, responses and other pertinent information.
